4th December 2024: English guided tour to the "Hausmannstürme" towers of the Market Church

Dear PhD students and postdocs at MLU,

The 222 steps up to the Hausmannstürme of the Market Church are quite a challenge. But as a reward, exciting stories from the everyday life of the Türmer (tower guards) family await you at the top. And we can't rave enough about the view you can enjoy, especially at Christmas time!
Come with us and get an insight into times gone by in Halle and a bird's eye view of the current cityscape.

Date: Wednesday, 4th December 2024, 5:30 pm

Meeting point: In front of the Tourist Information Centre Halle (Saale) (Marktplatz 13)

Participation fee: 5 €, to be paid in cash (please the exact amount in cash!) on the day of the excursion

Note: The event can only take place if at least 10 international PhD students / postdocs take part in the guided tour on 4 December 2024. If you realise that you cannot attend the excursion, e.g. due to illness, despite registration, you are obliged to inform us in writing / by e-mail in advance. We will then try to allocate your place to another person so that the excursion can still take place. If the event cannot take place due to insufficient registrations or for other reasons, we will inform you immediately.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE: Please note: The excursion is considered a private trip, i.e. participants are not insured by the university or the PhD Network during the excursion.
