27th of April 2019 Excursion to Dresden: Electromobility and historical walking tour

We are looking forward to our next excursion: On Saturday, the 27th of April we will explore the capital of the federal state of Saxony: Dresden.
We start our day with a tour (in English language) through the “Gläserne Manufaktur” of Volkswagen. The
Wir beginnen unseren Tag mit einer Führung (in englischer Sprache) durch die "Gläserne Manufaktur", von Volkswagen in Dresden. The tour focuses on electromobility and we will see and learn about the production of electric cars.
Afterwards we walk towards the city centre and stop for a lunch break and a refreshment in a restaurant.
The afternoon will be all about the cultural and historic side of Dresden. On a guided walking tour (in English) we will explore Dresden's city centre and among other things see the famous “Zwinger” and “Semperoper”.
We are looking forward to an exciting day in Dresden!

The participant fee of 12,00 € covers the travel expenses, the entrance fee and the guided tour through the “ Manufaktur”, the lunch and theguided walking tour in the afternoon.

Meeting point: Halle (Saale) Central Station at 07:45 a.m.

Return: (presumably) 19:14 p.m. from Dresden Central Station
Arrival: (presumably) 21:40 p.m. at Halle (Saale) Central Station

In the week in which the excursion takes place, we will send an e-mail with further details.

IMPORTANT: According to DAAD guidelines the excursion can only take place if at least 20 foreigners participate personally on 02.02.2019. Please, only register if you really want to participate and transfer the fee to the bank account mentioned in Contactus. Since it can take some time until we receive the money on our account, we kindly ask you to send us a payment document via e-mail. If you pay and do not show up on the day of the excursion, we will consider this as non-attendance. If you get ill or cannot take part for other reasons, you are obligated to inform us by e-mail. In that case, we will try to give your place to someone else in order to guarantee the taking place of the excursion and to meet the DAAD guidelines. If the excursion cannot take place due to a small number of registrations, we will inform you immediately.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE: Please note that this counts as a private trip. You are not insured via the university or the PhD Network during the trip.
