PhD Summer Event - Canue tour

Dear PhD students and Post Docs,

we would like to invite you to our next event of the PhD Network! We want to discover the beauty of the river Saale and its shores in a Canadian canoe. We will start our tour in Halle and paddle to yacht harbour Salzmünde, where we will fill up new strength to achieve our final destination Wettin. Afterwards a shuttle service brings us back to Halle. There we have a nice barbecue in the evening.
The route is about 20 km and you don´t need any experience in canoeing.
At the meeting point we will receive:
- an Introduction into the technique of canoeing
- life jackets
- waterproof cases
- route- and safety instructions

Meeting time: 10am to 8pm (canoeing and barbecue)

Participation fee: This excursion is funded by DAAD. That is why we can offer you the trip for 15 € per person.

Please only register if you really want to participate and transfer the fee immediately to our bank account at the latest by June, 9th 2016 . In the unlikely case, that you registered and than have to decline, please cancel your registration until the June, 9th 2016 by sending an e-mail to: phd.network@international.uni-halle.de.

Please note that this excursion will only take place, if we reach the minimum number of 20 participants.
